Emergency Medicine
The Leamington District Memorial Hospital has undergone a $ 10 Million expansion resulting in a "State of the Art" Emergency Room and a new Ambulatory Care Centre. Full-time and Part-time Emergency Physicians are needed to work in this brand new facility. Colleagues are collegial and time-off is served in Canada's Deep South with access to beaches, golf courses, and boating. The Emergency Department is staffed 24 hrs per day and physicians are compensated under an Alternate Funding Agreement through the Ministry of Health. The Hospital provides a full range of support services including an ER qualified Nurse Practitioner to assist during busy times. The average visits annually are 30,000.

Family Practice: Office, Hosp.
Leamington District Memorial Hospital has undergone a $10 Million renovation of our Emergency department and Ambulatory Centre. As a part of this, we have developed a suite of offices within the hospital for Family Physicians and Specialists. Three Family Physicians presently work out of the offices and would welcome a new colleague. The community is an under serviced area providing ready access to the Incentive Grants available through the Under serviced Areas Program and the Return of Service/Free Tuition Grant Program. As a full-service community hospital, we have specialists in General Surgery, Internal Medicine, Obstetrics and Gynecology, Radiology, Nuclear Medicine and Laboratory Medicine on staff. The Emergency Department is staffed 24 hours per day and payment is through an Alternate Funding Agreement with the Ministry of Health, providing an hourly stipend. The offices, located within the hospital, will be offered at a very competitive rate and can be structured to suit the physician. This is an excellent opportunity to begin a practice that allows you to be involved in the complete range of both hospital and office based medical practice. The opportunity to begin your own practice will be supported by the hospital and local clinicians.

Family Practice: Office, Hosp.
Leamington is the most southern community in Canada, situated on the shore of Lake Erie, approximately 50 kms. from Windsor, Ontario. In association with the neighboring communities of Kingsville and Wheatley, we are actively looking for Family Physicians. Prime office space is available and congenial colleagues are ready to support you. Also, return of service grants from the Free tuition program and Under serviced Area grants are available to help you begin your new practice. The community is under staffed by Family Physicians with an accepted need equaling 30 Family doctors. This is a wonderful opportunity to live and work in Canada’s Deep South. MEDICAL DIRECTOR OF EMERGENCY SERVICES (Full Time)

Leamington District Memorial Hospital is an 88-acute care community Hospital serving communities in the Windsor-Essex and Chatham-Kent catchment areas in sunny Southwestern Ontario.

A fully-accredited Hospital, LDMH offers services in a broad range of specialties including Medicine, Surgery (including Dentistry and Gynecology), Obstetrics, Family Practice, Anesthesia, Radiology, Laboratory and Nuclear Medicine, Continuing Care and Emergency medicine with an employee base of 325 full and part-time health care professionals.

This position requires a seasoned physician executive, licensed to practice in Ontario, who is experienced in working with physicians, physician practices, coaching and mentoring peers, and working with a diverse cross-section of all service providers within the Hospital setting.

This is clearly a position for a strong physician leader who will work for and in partnership with the Chief of Staff and Executive Officer.
